CORNWALL SPECIALIST SURFACING

 

Working to a design created by the children CSS were asked to provide a play surface that incorporated a maze into the surface pattern. First the ground had to be excavated, and all the top soil was re-used to create raised wooden flower beds within the school. All groundworks including the raised beds were carried out by CSS.

Next a suitable edge restraint was installed, using 100mm timber, followed by 100mm of type '803'  hardcore.

Finally the maze pattern was created. The school colours of black and red  were chosen. The work was all completed within the school half term holiday week.
