Environmental Policy

Cornwall Specialist Surfacing Ltd, as an installer of resin, bituminous and other specialist road and landscaping materials recognise that its operations will impact directly on the environment and therefore is committed to minimising the environmental impact of all aspects of its work. The key environmental impacts are:

  • Use of hazardous chemicals and solvents
  • Waste management
  • Emissions to air

In particular the company commits to:

  • The prevention of pollution
  • Comply with all relevant legislation & regulatory requirements
  • Continually review our processes and materials to help minimise our impacts

The company is committed to help all employees recognise the impact their individual actions and company operations may have on the environment, through training and annual review by formal
group discussion.
The company will monitor and document the progress we have made on our environmental performance, through it's meetings with all staff to review all existing and any new operations. We will assist our customers to use our products in an environmentally sensitive way.
Specific issues we wish to focus on are:

  • The introduction of BS8555 by December 31st 2007
  • To re-cycle 80% (by volume) of packaging materials from suppliers
  • To reduce pollution, emissions and waste in our on site contracting activities
  • To minimise the use of solvent based materials and hazardous materials
